The traditional method for making  wooden shingles in the 17th and 18th centuries was to handsplit them from log sections known as bolts. A wide-screen computer desktop wallpaper of up to 1920 x 1200 pixels, ready for download.  Available on request as an affordable signed and numbered limited edition print  of up to 60 x 44 cm.
