Maximaphily
After the exhibition at Central Carinthian Library Ravne, I was asked to create a digital collage Maximum Card for 2010 Philately exhibition (opens today). Since I didn’t have suitable exterior photos of my own, I had to use ones taken by Tomo Jeseničnik, a renowned Carinthian photographer, along with my own interior photos. Using other artist’s material is something I try to avoid if possible, but it just isn’t that easy to remove all the snow from a photo, so … Maximum Card is is a postcard with a postage stamp placed on the picture side of the card where the stamp and card match or are in concordance. In most cases, the cancel is also related to both images. Beside the front-side collage, a stamp graphics was created as well (the one below). As usual, both pieces are available on request as an affordable signed and numbered limited edition print of up to 50 x 30 cm. Btw: there’s no lake, pond or puddle near Ravne Library.
